Institutional Crypto Mistakes with Ehud Tal - Webinar by the Soltesz Institute


In this webinar, I sat down with Ehud Tal, a cyber and crypto security expert who has built exchanges, crypto desks, and institutional setups since the early days of Bitcoin.


The question was: if everything is digital, why does crypto security feel so different from traditional banking security, and why do institutions keep making the same mistakes when they enter the digital asset space?


The answer turned out to be uncomfortable, and revealing a lot more than we expected.


A large part of the market still assumes that stronger KYC and AML rules will automatically make crypto safe. But it does not automatically secure the weakest point: the movement of value and the decisions that allow movement to happen.


Traditional finance has intermediaries who can step in, block, investigate, and sometimes reverse outcomes, but crypto transfers can become final very quickly, which changes how risk must be managed.
